A Glance At The Administrative Organization of the Holy Shrine of Hadrat Masoumah (A.S.)
The holy shrine of Hadrat Fatima
Masoumah (A.S.) since the first day of the burial of Her Holiness (A.S.) on
10th Rabi al-Thani, 201 A.H./816 A.D., till todaywas honoured and revered by the Shi'ite Holy
Imams (A.S.), the great religious personalities and the lovers and followers of
the Holy Family of the Prophet of Islam (S.A.W.). Rendering welfare services
and construction works in the holy shrine was considered as a great privilege
for all the custodians of the holy shrine.
The administrative organization of the
holy shrine was varying based on the views of the custodians of the holy shrine
who used to organize the affairs of the holy shrine.
In 1992, the Supreme Leader Ayatullah
al-Uzma Khamenei appointed Hadrat Ayatullah Masudi Khomeini as the Custodian of
the holy shrine of Hadrat Masoumah (A.S.). Since then a new administrative
organization has come into existence and its brief introduction is as follows:
The Office of the Custodian
The office of the custodian carries out
many affairs like protocols, ceremonies, research, registering the miracles of
Hadrat Masoumah (A.S.), the burial affairs in the holy shrine and giving
monetary help and bringing the necessary administrative coordination in the
holy shrine.
Public Relations Office:
It coordinates all the activities of
the various offices and administrative units of the holy shrine and maintains
relations with the pilgrims and provide them the necessary information about
the activities of the holy shrine. It also gathers suggestions and complaints
from the pilgrims and informs the concerned authorities for its consideration.
In this regard it publishes a journal
entitled "Payam Astane" in Persian and also carries out the
international affairs. The officials of this office regularly participate in
the sessions of the Qum province administrative bodies.
Administrative and Financial Assistance Office:
This office carries out all the
administrative and financial affairs of the holy shrine.
Hygiene and Medical Care Directorate:
This office is responsible for all the
affairs related to hygiene and medical care in the premises of the holy shrine
and the inn. It also maintains the administration of Gazran hospital and Hadrat
Masoumah (A.S.) clinic situated near the holy shrine.
Endowed Properties Office:
This office with different sections
looks after the affairs of the urban properties and agricultural lands endowed
to the holy shrine.
Zaer Organization:
This
organization is administered by a special system and render various cultural
and economic activities. It is also considered as one of the assistance office
of the holy shrine and carries out the technical, engineering and economic
affairs of the holy shrine and its affiliated office.
Representative Offices:
With the expansion of the endowments of
the holy shrine in order to create the necessary coordination representative
offices of the holy shrine have been established in Tehran and Jafferia
(Gazran) region.
Cultural Directorate:
Implementing the cultural policies of
the holy shrine like propagation, research, publications and maintaining the
library of the holy shrine are the duties of this directorate.
Artistic Affairs:
This office carries out repairs,
beautification and other artistic activities related to the buildings of the
holy shrine and the other cultural activities carried out within its precincts.
Museum:
In the museum of the holy shrine
priceless and exquisite objects and antique pieces which are considered as the
cultural and artistic heritage of Iran are preserved. The articles displayed in
the museum includes old carpets, exquisite tileworks, precious copies of the
Holy Qur'an, priceless clothes and garments, precious stones and other antique
pieces.
Technical Office:
This directorate consists of
electricity, sound and installations sections and render services in the holy
shrine and the buildings situated within its precincts.
Development Directorate:
This directorate implements the
development projects in the holy shrine and acts as the consultants to the
custodian of the holy shrine in various developmental affairs. It has till now
successfully implemented various construction and development projects like the
construction of the Zair Organization's building, Astane Hotel, the building of
the Cultural Complex situated at the end of the Char Mardan Avenue, the
building of the Cultural Complex at "Paresar Rezwanshahr", the
school, Husainiyah and the Bazaar's building in Mahnishan, Zanjan and many
other projects.
Building Circle:
This office carries out all the
architectural and constructional projects within the precincts of the holy
shrine. It has conducted repairs in the courtyards, balconies, halls, porches
and mosques located in the holy shrine. It has also constructed the burial
chamber and carried out repairs inside it. It has also implemented the refixing
of the golden tiles on the dome of the holy shrine.
Statistics and Budget Office:
This office has the responsibility of
collecting the donations and offerings from the pilgrims in the offices located
in the holy shrine for this purpose. It also collects the money and offerings
put into the burial chamber by the pilgrims in a special ceremony. It also
collects the income from the urban properties and agricultural lands endowed to
the holy shrine like their rents, transfer rights etc.
The Directorate of the Holy Shrine:
This office is in charge of many
activities in the holy shrine like the disciplinary measures, shoe-keeping,
rendering guidance and other services with the electricity, sound,
installations, cultural affairs, buildings
office, offering and endowments offices, hygiene, police and public
relations departments functioning within the holy shrine.
